Canada's 2022 Best Employer for Diversity according to Forbes

In 2022, Forbes listed Manuelle Alix-Surprenant (picture), Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Hydro Québec to be Forbes' Best Employer for Diversity 2022.
The diversity ranking was performed with cooperation from market research company Statista, and was calculated from the feedback of more than 10,000 Canadians working for businesses with at least 500 employees in Canada, with extra weight given to respondents from underrepresented groups (Todd-Ryan S., 2022).

The article also mentioned how other public institutions such as University of New Brunswick, National Bank of Canada, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Toronto Metropolitan University as well as private companies such as Nike, IKEA, Canada Goose also ranked highly on the list due to their diversity score.

The article notes that whether people like it or not, "equality may be thrust upon them through public pressure or policy" (Todd-Ryan S., 2022) citing Canada Pay Equity Act and pay transparency legislation in Prince Edward Island.

Forbes itself comes up with this ranking to generate public pressure for public and private sectors, then use DEI score as a basis to hold loans and credits to business hostage in order force compliance to their DEI agenda. The banking sector works in tandem with corporations and corrupt public officials to push an egalitarian agenda that has nothing to do with the bottom line of profit, and is ultimately suicidal for both the business and society.

As we have seen in recent years across all sectors, from Indiana Jones and Disney flopping (Brueggemann, 2023) to Bud Light downfall (Zilber, 2023), and Target's boycott (Philips, 2023). Pursuing the DEI agenda in the workplace and pushing it onto consumers will very quickly bankrupt your business. Most businesses conforming to the agenda either have deep pocket or betting on the chance of generous credit line from the bank and favorable treatment from institutional establishments. However, ultimately the whole point of any business is to serve the customers by providing a specific service. If you don't focus on the specific service the customers want and instead waste your resources on DEI to virtue signal marketing and in hope of cheap handout money from the banks, you're working against gravity. Your failing is just a matter of time.
